Flight Planner

Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and timely solutions to operational problems, i.e. aircraft mechanicals, weather and traffic delays
  • Ensure aircraft operators comply with Stratos Jets’ safety standards, along with FAA and DOT regulations, and verify these requirements are met through leading independent safety auditors: ARG/US and Wyvern.
  • Available 24 hours to adhere to any changes affecting the operations of a flight
  • Ensure constant communication between Flight Planning and air charter agent
  • Check and issue individual weather reports
  • Arrange ground transportation and catering

Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of aircraft capabilities, performance regulations, aeronautical data and navigational charts
  • Proficient in various flight planning programs
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly respond to last minute changes
  • Self-motivated, professional, and effective communicator
  • High degree of accuracy and reliability
  • Team player attitude

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation
  • Experience working for a Part 135 charter company

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years flight planning experience in corporate aviation.
  • Demonstrated strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent client development and management strategies
  • Working knowledge of charter aircraft, flight operations and Part 135 regulations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the charter market as well as market conditions
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to work proficiently in a Mac setting with an ability to learn new software applications
