Building on Brazil’s proud aviation heritage, Embraer business jets are popular frequently requested for charter flights in the competitive world of corporate and leisure air travel today. Founded in 1969 by Ozires Silva, the company has continuously produced quality aircraft in a range of industry sectors, including:

  • Commercial
  • Military
  • Executive
  • Agriculture

Under the current leadership of CEO Frederico Fleury Curado, Embraer has continued to flourish, with operations in more than 90 countries worldwide.

While Embraer focused primarily on military and commercial aviation early on, it wasn’t until 2000 that they entered the private/executive market. That was the year Embraer business jets took flight. They started with the Legacy series, which was based on the same platform as the ERJ 135 regional airliner.

Embraer took the ERJ 135’s robust airframe and repurposed it specifically for executive travel. This included:

  • Refined, lower-density cabin
  • Spacious baggage compartment (accessible while inflight)
  • Extended range to challenge other super-midsize jets

Embraer Business Jets Take Flight

Given the ensuing success of the Legacy, Embraer business jets began showing up in other market segments. As a result, they established a dedicated executive aviation division in 2005, known as Embraer Executive Jets.

From there, they launched a pair of completely new designs using cutting-edge technology and design innovation. These were known as the Phenom 100 and 300, both of which compete in the newly established ‘very light jet’ market.

Today, Embraer business jets represent the broadest portfolio of any manufacturer. To support their aircraft, Embraer has developed one of the industry’s best support networks, including service centers and parts depots.

As a result, charter companies like Stratos Jets are able to offer a range of Embraer private jet charters to meet specific corporate travel needs, such as:

  • Passenger number
  • Distance travelled
  • Aircraft amenities
