The Cessna Citation M2 jet charter is a terrific option for small groups of travelers who require a combination of cabin comfort and range in the light jet segment. Whether it’s for a corporate mission or leisure travel, this aircraft is designed to provide value for money. First launched in 2013, the M2 replaced the Citation Mustang as Cessna’s entry-level light jet. However, calling it ‘entry-level’ does this aircraft a disservice, as it features a number of improvements over the CitationJet on which it’s based, including:

Raising the Standard of ‘Entry Level’
The Citation M2 jet charter utilizes an aluminum airframe designed with optimal aerodynamics in mind. Powered by a pair of Williams FJ44-1AP-21 turbofan engines, each producing 1,965 pounds of thrust, it can fly up to a maximum of 1,550 nautical miles. With a typical load of four passengers and two pilots (for safety, Stratos Jet Charters require two pilots for all charter flights), the typical range is about 1,062nm. That means you could fly from:
- Las Vegas to anywhere in the western US
- Miami to Teterboro
- Seattle to Denver
For takeoff, a Citation M2 jet charter requires 3,210 feet of runway, and for landing, it needs 2,590 feet. This aircraft is a decent climber, ascending at a rate of 3,698 feet-per-minute up to a maximum service ceiling of 41,000 feet. Once at altitude, it manages a respectable cruise speed of about 460 mph.
Commitment to Passenger Comfort
While this light jet can accommodate a maximum of seven passengers, for comfort’s sake, the optimal cabin arrangement is for four or five. The cabin’s interior measures:

- Four feet, 10 inches wide
- 11 feet long
This aircraft’s interior is surprisingly spacious. Eight large windows provide plenty of natural light, and the cabin’s optimal club seating arrangement allows plenty of room for passengers to work or relax. Some of the interior amenities you’ll find include:

In total, 10 different variants of the CitationJet have been in production since the original Model 525 took off in 1991. In total, Cessna has delivered more than that 2,000 to market, with more than five million hours flown (as of June 2017).
