When you charter flights to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you’ll be able to witness a huge collection of:
- Thousands of dancers and cheerleaders
- Hundreds of clowns
- Marching bands
- Floats
- Giant balloon figures
Practical Parade Tips
To get the best spot, organizers suggest arriving at your preferred destination along the route by 6:30 am.
You’ll want to dress warm for the parade as well. Because the parade runs from 9 am until noon, even if the sun is out, the temperatures will likely be chilly. Wear layers and bring a thermos of hot coffee to keep you warm.
If you want to see the giant balloon inflatables before the parade, grab a sneak peak the night before (between 3pm and 10 pm) on 77th and 81st streets between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.
Scope out a restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner in advance. Many restaurants in the area stay open for the holiday and offer some fabulous Thanksgiving-inspired menu items. Be sure to pick your favorite and make a reservation in advance so you don’t miss out.
