How do I choose a private jet charter?

When you first reach out to a Stratos private flight advisor, we’ll walk you through the various private jet charter options available to you. This will depend on:

  • Aircraft availability
  • Personal travel preferences

Because we don’t own any aircraft, we have access to thousands of aircraft around the world. This allows us to help you choose the best suited aircraft to your flight, saving you both time and money.

Once we’ve helped you choose the most appropriate aircraft for your mission, we’ll get you in touch with our Trip Support team who will work out the details of your charter flight and assist with any additional concierge services you may require.

Do you have to go through customs on a private jet?

Yes. When you fly to an international destination, whether it’s on a private jet or a commercial airliner, you’ll have to go through customs. However, the process is typically a little more streamlined as a private jet passenger than it is when you fly commercially.

Our Frequently Asked Question section on the website provides a little more detail in you’re looking for more information: Do I still follow customs/immigration when traveling on an international jet charter?

Things to see & do in Grand Cayman

Now that you’ve figured out how to get to the Cayman Islands, here’s some recommendations on what to do once you get there.

Take a stroll around George Town. This extremely photogenic city is a mishmash of venues, duty-free stores, jewelers, and cool cafes.

Hike the Mastic Trail. This beautiful trail winds through a protected mangrove forest. Don’t forget the bug spray though! You may even catch a glimpse of the elusive—and endangered— blue iguana.

Bioluminescence in water at night

Paddle around the Bioluminescent Bay. We recommend planning a trip to this bay when the sun sets so you can see all the tiny bioluminescent plankton come to life and illuminate the bay around you.

water spraying along the coast of grand cayman island

Rent a car and visit the East End. The craggy limestone rocks, called The Blowholes, are fun to see in action. Keep your eyes on the water and you’ll likely catch a view of the ragged masts of the Wreck of the 10 Sail between wave crests.

Dive the Kittiwake wreck. If you’re into diving, the Kittiwake wreck, a former submarine rescue vessel, is worth a visit. You can also visit the Cayman Trench drop-off near Little Cayman.
