During the Revolutionary War, the Continental Army’s commercial vessels docked at Bridgeport, with privateer Capt. Davis Hawley of Stratfield bringing in a number of prizes into Black Rock Harbor. It is said that he built the first brick house in the city. Bridgeport is also recognized for its most famed resident, 19th century showman P.T. Barnum, founder of the Barnum & Bailey Circus, who built four houses in Bridgeport, and housed his circus in town during winter. Also a newspaper publisher and politician, he served as mayor of Bridgeport in 1875. Credited as the birthplace of the Frisbee, manufacturing and trade are the main industries in Bridgeport, while the performing arts thrive in the city.

We did have a slight issue when the plane came in there was a mechanical concern that delayed my parent's trip but Kyle lined up aother plane for us so they could get to their destination with the least amount of inconvenience. Kyle Jones was terrific about answering all of my questions PROMPTLY. Stratos gave us the best price and was best about getting all info to us. I wrote to Kyle many times as I was extremely nervous about flying. He was always reassuring. Pilots were friendly and professional. Transport people wore masks and gloves and were kind. Plane was very clean and when I asked for more disinfectant wipes, I got them without being made to feel I was being too cautious. Take-off and landing were a pleasure as was the flight. The thunderstorm was scary but that was out of the pilots control
