General Information
Eureka! It’s what the gold seekers said when they found gold there. It took nearly 300 years for Europeans to find Humboldt Bay since the entrance by water was narrow and the weather often concealed it. An overland exploration in 1849 revealed the location, just in time for the Gold Rush.
