Long Beach jet charter information

A city of nearly half a million people, Long Beach is just south of downtown Los Angeles, California.

Long Beach has a rich and varied history of development. After the Indigenous people were forced to relocate due to a severe drop in population from exposure to European illnesses in the mid 1800s, the area experienced cattle ranching and sheep farming before it became a producer of oil. The city continued to see industrial success with the opening of the Ford Motor Company assembly line. Douglas Aircraft Company built several aircrafts, and it also became a popular port town providing employment in the fishing industry.

With its warm winter temperatures (mid-60 degrees Fahrenheit) and even warmer summers (mid to high 80s), southern California’s Long Beach is an engaging seaside resort town with a plethora and eclectic mix of activities for locals and tourists.

Things to Do in Long Beach

Inspiring famous songs like ‘California Sun’ by The Rivieras, the seaside resort town hasn’t been known as a surfing spot for many years (there’s talk that may change though), but more known for its activities and attractions.

The list of things to do is long (like the beach), but first you just have to get there! Charter flights to Long Beach to fill your days right up with popular sightseeing adventures such as:

  • Exploring the Queen Mary, a retired luxury ocean liner, which is docked permanently and is open for overnight stays, dining and tours including ghost tours.
  • At Rainbow Harbor explore sea life at The Aquarium of the Pacific.
  • The boardwalk at Shoreline Village offers a variety of things to do from shopping eclectic shops to dining to renting jet skis or kayaks, bicycle rentals and so much more.
  • Whale watching tours offer sightings of majestic whales and other spellbinding sea creatures.

A few museums of note are:

  • Living history museum Rancho Los Alamitos offers history dating back approx. 1500 years and Rancho Los Cerritos offer history dating back to the mid-1800s.
  • Art museums in which to immerse yourself include the Long Beach Museum of Art which overlooks the beach and the Museum of Latin American Art along Alamitos Ave.

The absolutely stunning grounds and strategic golf course of the more than 100-year-old Virginia Country Club are lovingly kept and will test your skill with its variety of contours and changes in elevation.

This is just a starter list, the rest is up to you to discover the heart of southern California.
