A city in North Yorkshire, England, York is surrounded by a defensive wall and is situated at the confluence of the rivers Ouse and Foss. Rich in history and culture, York was originally founded by the Romans and also has a Viking history. The Great Viking Army actually invaded York in 866, renaming the land Jorvik. The vikings remained there and cultivated the land before York was annexed into the kingdom of England in 954. During the age of Industrialism, York's industry was governed by the railway system. These days, York's current economy is dominated mostly by the service industry and tourism.

the Minster’s steep tower to capture stunning views of York and the surrounding countryside. Learn about York’s Viking past at the Jorvik Viking Centre, an award-winning museum that features Viking exhibits dating back 1,000 years. The centre also hosts the annual Jorvik Viking Festival, a weeklong celebration of all things viking, in February. One of the main attractions is a thrilling live battle re-enactment, held at the Eye of York at the site of Clifford’s Tower, a 13th century castle. It showcases the great armies of the Viking invaders against the Anglo-Saxon defenders, complete with swords and shields. Near the tower is the York Castle Museum, which is housed in former prison buildings. Another homage to York’s past is the National Railway Museum, which tells the story of rail transport in Britain. It has the largest collection of railway objects in the world, including iconic locomotives. Head outdoors and take in the beautiful landscape at one of York's popular parks and gardens or bring the kids to the York Maze, the world's largest maze, where you can also pet farm animals and play mini golf. Yorkshire Lavender Farm and Gardens is gorgeous in bloom; find your way through the lavender maze or check out the sculpture park. Good morning, Joel. I have been in the customer service business for 30 years as a realtor and previously customer service manager for a performing arts hall. I am very critical when it comes to customer service as so many companies who pride themselves being excellent fall short. I feel when it excels, it should be pointed out to their superior.
Falling short is certainly not the case with Kyle Jones and Leslie Jackson. This is my first experience with chartering a private plane. My 94 year old father and 92 year old mother are going to their favorite place in the world, the Beau Rivage hotel in Biloxi MS at Christmas time. A charter flight works so much better than the hassle of traveling commercial today.
Kyle was on top of everything for me and when I would send him a question via email the response was rapid fire. The same goes for Leslie. I don’t think it was more than 5 minutes before a response came back. Their friendliness, professionalism and knowledge is above par and you are extremely lucky to have them on the Stratos team.
My father insists he will be going again next year and I hope he is correct. I will contact Stratos for their traveling needs and hopefully work with both the wonderful Kyle and Leslie again.

My experience with Joel and his team a Stratos was great! We had a little wrinkle in our trip when we were diverted from our destination to another airport. It had nothing to do with our flight. There was a disabled plan on the runway. We diverted to the other airport and waited briefly for word on when it would clear. Joel and his team were all over it. They had alternate transportation lined up for us, which, we didn't end up using and ultimately got back on the plane and went to our intended destination. There were no extra charges and we only lost about an hour. Our return trip was fast and uneventful. Stratos helped us find the right plane for our trip and kept us within our budget. I made all of the arrangements for the charter flight for my boss and his family. I worked with Joel Thomas personally, who took the time with me to show the jet options available, all the while considering my boss's medical issues and care requirements. He emailed a jet comparison guide with photographs to view side-by-side so that I could make a wise and informed decision, and walked me through them over the phone. He was determined to provide the best possible experience for everyone. Joel made it all so easy, and it was clear after conversations with him that he has a heart for people and genuinely cares about their needs. I ordered in-flight catering, over the phone, which could not have been any easier. The food was plentiful and exceptional! My boss called me the next day asking that I inquire as to who the local caterer was that supplied the food, as he wants to make sure that we use them in the future. They staged all of the food on beautiful white platters that looked classy and elegant, as though it was all prepared for red carpet guests. And every selection was freshly prepared that day and over the top in flavor! The pilot was very nice and personable and clearly cared about the comfort and safety of his passengers. The plane was extremely comfortable and very luxurious. The seating was perfect for the six of them and their cat, Molly! I received a call the next day from my boss's grown daughter, and all she did was rave about how it was first class all the way! She said I always do such a great job. LOL! It was Joel and the Stratos team that did all the work! My part was easy! Ohhh, and Joel also went out of his way to arrange for ground transportation upon their flight's arrival. I can say from personal experience over the years, that flying does not get any better than going first class with Joel Thomas and his team at Stratos Jet Charters. I want to thank them for making me look like the best assistant ever!!
