The PC24 is regarded as a STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) aircraft. It can take off from runways as short as 2,810 feet. That rivals many turboprop aircraft. Further adding to the PC24’s versatility, it can take off from both paved and unpaved surfaces. As Pilatus points out in their marketing material, there are about 11,700 airports with paved runways around worldwide that measure a minimum of 2,810 feet. When you include airstrips with unpaved surfaces (grass, gravel etc.) that number jumps to more than 20,000. In other words, if you want to rent a jet that gets you closer to where you need to go, this is as good as it gets for a midsize jet.
