One of the most well-known beaches is located in the town of Aquinnah (formerly known as Gay Head) on the western end of the island. Many hike to the clay cliffs that lie above the beach for a truly breathtaking view. Located on the northwestern tip of the island is the town of Oak Bluffs, where Ocean Park is located. Popular for kite flying, playing Frisbee and catching the occasional concert, the park is surrounded by pristine Victorian mansions. On the south edge of the island is Long Point Wildlife Refuge beach, which features sheltered salt and freshwater ponds and grasslands great for bird watching. Just east of the park is South Beach State Park, popular for surfing. Although Martha’s Vineyard was named for the wild vines found on the island, very few wineries actually still exist on the island. Service and attention was excellant. Little disapointed in the interior room. Very cramped.It would be OK for a very short flight but longer than 1 hour would need more interior room with adquate bathroom facitlies.

Flight was for an elderly person and the tail number was provided a long time before the flight and I made sure the person flying had all the info written down by someone who could hear and got everything correct. Flyer had that until day before when tail number changed. I had to find someone who could hear me well and right down the correct info for the person traveling so he got it straight in his head and for driver.
