It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been two months since the 7.0 magnitude earthquake devastated the Haitian capital of Port Au Prince. Sadly, many victims are still in dire need of medical supplies and attention. Over the past several weeks, many individuals and missionaries have stepped forward to donate their time and resources; oftentimes relying on private air charter to deliver medical supplies and personnel to the disaster site.

In light of this tragedy, Stratos Jet Charters recently arranged a successful air charter flight back from the Port Au Prince Airport (MTPP) to the Ft Lauderdale airport. The passengers aboard the charter flight “medical staff and members of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church” traveled to the Haiti to donate several containers of medical supplies and to treat victims of the earthquake. The church members worked in conjunction with Mission Haiti, an organization dedicated to helping Haitian orphans, to deliver the much-needed aid.

The private jet charter flight was coordinated by Stratos Jets senior air charter specialist Mark Bergau. After receiving a call from the church members, Bergau worked diligently to source the best, most highly-maintained aircraft to safely return the church group members back to the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) on a private jet. He eventually found a safe and well-equipped Beech Jet 400 charter jet, capable of carrying up to nine passengers and 2,355 pounds of payload.

Stratos Jets agents have been expertly trained to handle all the logistics of air charter travel to destinations struck by natural disasters. Stratos Jets will continue to work non-stop to arrange private jet charter flights into the Port Au Prince airport, as safely and as efficiently as possible. For Christian church groups and missionaries contributing to the relief efforts, we promise to offer the lowest, best possible price for charter flights to and from the Port Au Prince airport.
