One of the most anticipated events of spring 2019 is the 83rd Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. This year’s roster includes perennial favorites such as Fred Couples, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia. But a number of eager young rookies are ready to wear the traditional green Masters Winner’s Jacket. It’s the perfect year to book an on-demand jet charter to Augusta. To make the most of your trip, here is your mini-travel guide to enjoying Augusta, and the 2019 Masters Tournament.

The Flight

Book your Stratos on-demand jet charter flight early. The Masters Tournament runs April 11-14, but flights and hotels fill up quickly.  The advantage of using Stratos is that we can book your flights to meet yourschedule. Our private charter aircraft are extraordinarily comfortable, which is valuable if you are trying to impress corporate clients. And our ability to access smaller regional and municipal airports is the height of convenience. If flying to The Masters, Daniel Field (DNL) is located right next to the golf course. Augusta Regional (AGS) is another local option, only 7 miles south of Augusta.

The City

Augusta itself is a welcoming city, year-round. Temperatures for early April are typically around 75 degrees, although 2018 Tournament saw some rain and temperatures in the mid 60s. Jeans are not permitted at the Tournament, but shorts are allowed on warm days. Though golf is naturally the main attraction in April, there is plenty to enjoy off the greens too.  History buffs will enjoy Augusta’s Civil War tours and historic homes. Foodies will discover some of Georgia’s finest Southern cuisine. And after a busy day of cheering at the Masters, there is nothing like relaxing and renewing yourself at one of Augusta’s spa and wellness centers.

The Tournament

The 2019 Masters Tournament will be the first of four major golf championships to be held in 2019. It’s a great way to see some of golf’s superstars at the top of their game. Last year’s champion, Patrick Reed, will defend his standing. Previous winners, including Jordan Spieth, Sergio Garcia, and Danny Willett are also on the 2019 Field List. Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of The Masters is seeing the best young golfers compete against experienced pros. Aaron Wise, the 22-year-old Rookie of the Year for 2018 will be competing. Likewise, California prodigy Xander Schauffele will also be bringing his top game. Schauffele is only 25 and has already won three PGA Tour titles in his first two seasons. Do these young golfers have the stamina and smarts to play against PGA veterans on a premier course? You’ll just have to book an on-demand jet charter flight and see for yourself this spring.
