San Diego jet charter information

A history lesson awaits when you visit San Diego. Portuguese-born explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo was the first European to visit the sunny Pacific shores of the area in 1542. He originally claimed the bay for the Spanish Empire, naming it San Miguel. Sixty years later, Spain’s Sebastian Vizcaino surveyed what are now Mission Bay and Point Loma and named them in honor of Saint Didacus, more commonly known as San Diego. Due to its strategic location, San Diego charter flights take you to sun, sand, and sea, as well as to the city’s business and historical centre. Not only is San Diego home to a number of military bases, including U.S. Navy ports, Marine Corps bases and Coast Guard stations, it is home to many companies that develop wireless cellular technology. Qualcomm International was founded and is headquartered in San Diego. It is the largest private-sector technology employer (excluding hospitals) in California. The Columbia District, located in downtown San Diego, is home to a variety of historic ship exhibits belonging to the San Diego Maritime Museum, headlined by the Star of India. The San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum also features the legendary USS Midway aircraft carrier, which was the largest ship in the world until 1955.
