A history lesson awaits when you visit San Diego. Portuguese-born explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo was the first European to visit the sunny Pacific shores of the area in 1542. Due to its strategic location, San Diego charter flights take you to sun, sand, and sea, as well as to the city’s business and historical centre. The Columbia District, located in downtown San Diego, is home to a variety of historic ship exhibits belonging to the San Diego Maritime Museum, headlined by the Star of India. The San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum also features the legendary USS Midway aircraft carrier, which was the largest ship in the world until 1955.
