Airbus A380 Charter Flight Information
The Airbus A380, manufactured by the European corporation Airbus and a subsidiary of EADS, is the largest jet airliner on the market. Due to its enormous size, the majority of airports have to be reconfigured in order to accommodate it. It holds up to 544 passengers and is able to carry a 150-ton payload. The Airbus A380 dwarfs its biggest competitor, the Boeing 747, in size, performance and economy. In comparison to the 747, the A380 offers up to a 20-per-cent-lower operating cost per seat. With options for four distinct seating classes, the Airbus A380 has the versatility to accommodate a range of passengers, including:
- Comfortable economy configurations, 11-abreast in 18-inch seats
- Full-flat beds in a business class arrangement
- Private three-room suite for CEOs and other VIP travelers
In its standard four-class arrangement, the Airbus A380 seats 544 passengers. It will hold up to 853 in a single-class arrangement. With a double-deck cabin that measures 163.8 feet long and an industry-leading 23.5 feet wide, it boasts 50 per cent more floor space than its closest competitor. In addition to providing more spacious seats and wider aisle configurations, this aircraft has the room to offer other luxury cabin amenities such as:
- Business centers
- Bar area
- Social lounges
The aircraft’s interior is also renowned for being one of the quietest in any jet charter market segment. As airports in major centers become more and more crowded, the Airbus A380 will only make more and more sense. With the capacity to carry up to 60 per cent larger passengers loads, this aircraft can effectively reduce congestion at peak times. And it can do this without sacrificing the premium-class comfort that has made it a popular choice for corporate and VIP travelers with large entourages. In service since 2007, the Airbus A380 is a tremendous performer as well. Powered by either four Rolls-Royce Trent 900 or Engine Alliance GP7200 engines, it can fly up to 8,200 nautical miles nonstop. If you’re departing from anywhere in the continental United States, there aren’t many destinations that will require a fuel stop. In fact, the Airbus A380 holds the record for the longest nonstop commercial flight in the world: a 7,668 nm trip from Dubai to Aukland. With a cruising speed of 561 mph and service ceiling of 43,000 feet, you’ll reach your destination quickly and comfortably.
