Can unaccompanied minors charter a private jet?
Yes. Stratos Jet Charters can accommodate minors who need to charter a private jet; however, there are some guidelines that need to be followed to ensure everyone has a safe, comfortable flight.
For an unaccompanied minor to fly on a Stratos private jet charter, BOTH parents must sign and notarize a consent form. You can request the Parental Consent form when you book the flight. One of our Stratos Air Charter agents will email you the form, which you can then print, sign, notarize and return.
The second requirement is clarity on who is permitted to pick up the minor at the arrival destination. Again, this information can be provided at the time of the booking.
Here are some other tips and suggestions for unaccompanied minors who charter a private jet:
- Ensure each child has their own passport and travel documents if traveling to an international destination.
- Alert our Trip Support team if your child has any special medical or dietary needs.
- Remind your children that the aircrew has authority on the aircraft. Appropriate behavior is expected if a crew member asks the child to fasten a seat belt or turn off an electronic device.
