One day we will look back at 2020, and realize how adaptable we were. Despite the restrictions and upheaval, the nation managed to carry on and adapt to the situation. On-demand jet charter travel has certainly met unique challenges this year, but it still remains one of the best ways to travel.

Event-based charters are still possible, although the 2020 Event Calendar has been substantially modified.  So, if your group wants to attend a major activity this year, here are some suggestions for those events which are still going forward in 2020.

Scheduled to Continue

Let’s start with the good news. Many events are still proceeding as scheduled, and are accessible by Stratos on-demand jet charter.  We’ve sorted them by date to help you plan your itinerary.

JULY 2020

July 14: MLB All-Star game, Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles.  The 91st annual Mid-Summer classic is scheduled to go forward, to the delight of baseball fans.  The MLB and the venue have several protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of fans and participants.

Aug. 16: Opera House Regatta, Nantucket MA.  America’s classic wooden-hulled regatta will continue, undaunted. The Nantucket Culture & Tourism website also lists hotels, restaurants, and other attractions that have re-opened for business.

Aug. 29 – Sep. 20, 2020: Tour de France.  The endurance-testing Nice-to-Paris bicycle race has been rescheduled to late August. The advantage for Stratos on-demand jet charter travelers is that you can choose to watch the dramatic start, come back for the climactic finish, or watch all of it, depending on your itinerary.

Aug 30-Sept 4, 2020 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, Porto Cervo, Italy.  Despite the pandemic’s impact on Italy, the nation has rebounded and will host the prestigious Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup.  Porto Cervo itself is a sophisticated resort town and has ample measures in place to protect on-demand jet charter guests.

January 1, 2021: Rose Bowl College Football Game, Pasadena. “The Granddaddy of them All” is the country’s oldest bowl game. Celebrate the holidays in California, and then join the capacity-crowd excitement of a playoff semi-final on New Year’s Day.

Postponed events:

Some events were simply too unsafe to proceed as scheduled and needed to be postponed.

The obvious omission from the 2020 Calendar is the Tokyo Olympic Games.  However, Japan and the IOC have moved the Summer Olympiad to June 23-Aug. 8, 2021. Stratos on-demand jet charter travelers will still be able to attend the world’s largest multi-sport event, and take in the pulsing excitement of Tokyo itself.
