Jackson was initially built as a logging town, but it has evolved into so much more than that over the last two centuries. As the largest city in Clarke County with a population of more than 5,000, this proud town serves as a trade center for north Washington County and Choctaw County to the west. 

The city is also home to many amenities, like a Hampton Inn and Best Western Suites hotels and several restaurant options. 

The Jackson Municipal Airport covers 112 acres and sits around 62 feet above mean sea level. There’s only one runway, and it’s roughly 5,000 feet long. With a runway topping out at 5,000 feet, turboprops, light jets, and mid-size jets are the perfect options for charter to Jackson, Alabama.
