The city is home to major manufacturing industries, although tourism-centered businesses, specifically the service industry, are the biggest drivers of Birmingham's prosperity. Since the 17th century and the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution, Birmingham has often battled with London for economic superiority. Though very little of the city's early buildings stand today, much has been preserved from the 17th century onward. It's not unusual to see the tall gambrel roofs of a red brick Victorian building across the street from a steel-frame modernist building. Birmingham is also culturally significant from a musical standpoint. It produced legendary groups such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Robert Plant (of Led Zeppelin) and Duran Duran.

While Birmingham is totally landlocked, the city has an impressive number canals (more than Venice, in fact). My experience with Stratos has been very good since I started booking jets several years ago. Joel and his team provide excellent service and followup at every stage. We recently had a flight where the incoming plane had a mechanical and they were able to replace it with a comparable one within just a few hours. Our original take off time was only missed by less than a half hour. The Stratos team communicated with us all along the way and everything was fine. The pilots are very good at what they do and the ground organization is thorough and efficient. I would recommend them to a friend.

Garrett did a great job once again. He ALWAYS responds quickly and you can tell he really wants to please. He tried very hard to get us overflight permission and this time he was not able to but I knew that he tried hard. We had the same flight crew as we had last time and we really like them. They are very professional and very friendly.

I/we had never used a private charter previously. Compared to flying commercial, this was a stress free walk in the park. Danny Morejon was responsive and reliable, making sure that all of the parts were in the right place. I do have some significant complaints about side services (catering and car rental) but, may be out of Stratos control. Other than that, the flying experience and coordination were wonderful.

We decided at the last minute to escape from Florida as hurricane Irma was bearing down on us, and Stratos came through for us. Despite our first choice airport running out of fuel, they managed to get some at another and we got out with about 1 hour to spare. It was a hectic time, with everyone else scrambling to escape, but Stratos made the whole experience simple and efficient for us. We will definitely fly with them another time, preferable when we're not all stressed about a hurricane aimed right at us!

Everything was lovely, no hiccups. One piece of advice, when travelling to Turks and Caicos, make sure you have a clear address for your destination. The customs officer held us for twenty-five minutes trying to figure out where we were staying. That was a little frustrating, but it all worked out. We will most definitely use Stratos for our next trip.
