Information for Beechcraft 1900 Charter Plane

The Beechcraft 1900 charter plane is a US-built regional turboprop airliner and corporate transport commuter. The aircraft’s first flight was in 1982, and in 1985, the first ExecLiner was introduced for corporate excursions. Simply put, the Beechcraft 1900 is the most popular 19-passenger airliner in history. In total, the company built nearly 700 of them, making it the best-selling aircraft in its class of all time. Production for this immensely successful aircraft ended in 2002. However, the Beechcraft 1900 charter plane is still popular today for a wide range of roles, including:

  • Cargo carrier
  • Military transport
  • Regional airliner

And, of course, they are widely used for corporate transport. In addition to its 19-seat capacity, this all-weather aircraft offers alternative arrangements for anywhere from 10 to 18 passengers in the ExecLiner configuration. This makes it a versatile choice for corporate flyers with different travel needs.

Exceptional All-weather Performance

The Beechcraft 1900 performs well under most weather conditions. Furthermore, corporate travelers applaud this aircraft’s runway performance. It requires just 3,738 feet for takeoff, which makes it perfectly suited for:

  • Shorter runways
  • Smaller airports
  • Airports in remote locations
  • Restrictive airports

To create the 1900, Beechcraft looked to its Super King Air series for inspiration. The goal was to develop a commuter airliner with a pressurized cabin that could handle regional travel routes. However, in order to accommodate the larger passenger load, the design team at Beechcraft made other changes. It stretched the aircraft’s fuselage and outfitted it with improved engines to handle the larger payload.

The Ideal Regional Transporter

Fully loaded with 19 passenger, the Beechcraft 1900 can fly up to 381 nautical miles. With 10 passengers and a long-range cruising speed, it can fly nearly 1,500nm. Its standard cruise speed is 322 mph and it flies at a maximum service ceiling of 25,000 feet. With a climb rate of 2,615 feet-per-minute, it reaches altitude relatively quickly. While the original Beechcraft 1900 features two airstairs, subsequent versions, beginning with 1900C, only had one entrance, just behind the cockpit. Perhaps the most successful model in the 1900 series is the 1900D, which began production in 1991. This variant featured a cabin with stand-up headroom, which helped it stand apart from its competitors. The design also featured more powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A67D engines, as well as winglets for improved hot-and-high runway performance. In addition to serving as a regional airliner, the Beechcraft 1900 charter plane is also popular as a freight aircraft. In particular, the larger freight and passengers doors in 1900D make it a convenient option for loading and unloading cargo.
