When flying to any high-profile event such as the Masters Tournament or the Super Bowl, private jet travel dramatically increases. To minimize the chance of a disappointment or an inconvenience, we recommend you plan your trip well in advance.
Flying into a city that is hosting a major event can complicate trip planning. Obtaining landing permits, crew visas and other items which normally take only a few days could be more challenging than usual. By booking your private flights a few weeks in advance, we can avoid any unexpected issues
Most airports that serve private jets don’t require departure and arrival time slots. However, that changes when Air Traffic Control anticipates higher than average demand. Unfortunately, most airports won’t confirm airport slots or aircraft parking until close to the day of the event. We recommend that you book your charter flight and confirm your departure and arrival times at least three to four weeks prior to the event. This will help ensure a smooth travel experience.
Due to the increased private jet traffic into the airport, aircraft parking becomes limited. This means that it may not be possible for the aircraft to remain on the ground while you are attending the event. Passengers should be prepared for additional charges for the aircraft to reposition to a nearby airport while you are in attendance. This can further complicate the coordination of your departure after the event has ended.
Pilots are required to conduct all flight related operations operations during the 14-hour period. This includes positioning the aircraft to your departure location. If your plan is to attend the event and return home in the same day, this can be a major consideration. To avoid leaving an event early, pilots can “rest” for 10 consecutive hours before returning to duty. Talk to you charter agent about options to ensure that you can attend the event on your time.
During any heavily attended event, availability for hotel rooms and ground transportation services becomes limited. Often times, hotel rooms will require non-refundable deposits or may become non-cancellable. Once you arrive at the airport, you rely on local ground service providers. Stratos can help you arrange local transport, but as the day of the big event nears, be prepared for a lack of availability.

We do charge for some of our additional concierge services, such as in-flight catering and entertainment, hotel bookings and ground transportation. Also, since we charge per hour, not per passenger, there are travel bargains to be found with our Empty Leg Flights. Many of our private jet rental flights are one-way, and then we need to move the aircraft to a new destination. To reduce the costs of flying an empty aircraft, we offer discounts to travelers with flexible itineraries. Clever passengers will sometimes split the cost with their fellow travelers, thereby reducing the cost for everyone on the flight.

Good morning, Joel. I have been in the customer service business for 30 years as a realtor and previously customer service manager for a performing arts hall. I am very critical when it comes to customer service as so many companies who pride themselves being excellent fall short. I feel when it excels, it should be pointed out to their superior.
Falling short is certainly not the case with Kyle Jones and Leslie Jackson. This is my first experience with chartering a private plane. My 94 year old father and 92 year old mother are going to their favorite place in the world, the Beau Rivage hotel in Biloxi MS at Christmas time. A charter flight works so much better than the hassle of traveling commercial today.
Kyle was on top of everything for me and when I would send him a question via email the response was rapid fire. The same goes for Leslie. I don’t think it was more than 5 minutes before a response came back. Their friendliness, professionalism and knowledge is above par and you are extremely lucky to have them on the Stratos team.

They dropped us into 07FA onto a wet runway that a lot of pilots would have diverted for but the new grooved runway and pilot skill had us safely on the ground and taxiing after using way less than half the runway. For as spectacular as our inbound flight was, this topped that. Best ever from the equipment, to the crew, to the amenities in the plane that included an individual tv for each seat. The flight attendant asked if we had any catered food for the flight and we said no as we all had a nice breakfast prior to departing. Not sure this was part of the normal service but she served us cheese and salami, chicken salad and egg salad sandwiches, and even baked us hot chocolate chip cookies. Amazing experience. From the moment we arrived at your facility where one employee came to greet us and take our luggage to the friendliness of the pilots and their updates during the flight to the thank you by the pilots after arrival, Stratos was wonderful. The one item that I realize is out of your control is the Signature waiting area at EYW. When we left, there was a family of 5 without masks. Masks are required.
